Early check-in, parking outside. Well-appointed room at great prices with three beds and good kitchenette, as for instance. Reasonably priced and generous breakfast and excellent food. Professionalism of the staff. Great swimming pool and marvellous location really close to the Philippines, 24-hr convenient stores, and nice local coffee shops.

The spacious room with a mini-kitchen was perfect for preparing snacks, and the friendly staff made check-in a breeze. The bathroom could use some maintenance.

The front desk was very efficient, check-in and check-out procedures was speedy. The bed was very comfortable.
Not as much as a complaint, but I've noticed that the breakfast was not as good as in my previous stays with the hotel.

Good and clean rooms. Most staff very helpful. Proximity to major shopping malls and restaurants.
Wifi only available till 12am at lounge in 32nd floor. Elevators were very slow. Airconditioning was poor everywhere including your room.

What you'll love and hate
The location was perfect! Just a minute's walk to The Podium Mall. A cozy atmosphere with lovely staff in the buffet on weekends!
The check-in was quite slow, and some rooms unfortunately had unpleasant odors lingering in the air.

The only reason why I booked at Malayan Plaza was it availability that time. And the accessibility with shopping areas and transportation. The place is good enough for short and quick stay. It would be better if the hotel has at least valet service.
We stayed at the 17th floor. It would be better if the common areas (waiting are for elevator) is kept tidy and free from foul smell. maybe the exhaust system was bad. Also, it would be much a memorable stay if the breakfast buffet was improved... We have been to nearby hotels like Holiday Inn. . their buffet breakfast was a lot better.

Fine location, near the shopping areas, the room is like what I expected, it's located in the middle of the city.

convenient access to local malls, spacious living area, adequate kitchenette facilities
The plumbing issues created awful odors in the bathroom!!! The overall maintenance of the facilities left much to be desired, especially the weak lighting and cleanliness behind the toilet and wash basin!!!

Poor Airconditioning. Poor response time to request. Booked for a smoking room but was assigned to a non-smoking room, had to be transferred to a smoking room after 30 mins.

It is near shoppin malls... walking distance only to Podium, SM Megamall and St. Francis Square. There is pool at the 33rd floor...
The front desk/concierge staff are not smiling. We check in at 2:30 although check in is at 2 pm and we arrive an hour in advance.

The room was spacious, with a comfy queen-size bed and a mini-kitchen equipped with a stove and microwave. Plenty of room for my family to move around! The staff really impressed me with how accommodating they were, especially at check-in. The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a great selection including made-to-order omelettes that everyone loved. There were a couple of things that could use work, though. The air conditioning didn't cool as much as I would have liked. While the kitchenette was useful, it lacked some basic utensils that would have made cooking easier. We did notice some maintenance issues in the bathroom. The sink didn't drain well and the shower could use some repairs. Still, the cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and convenient amenities were good.

The rooms are tasteful and modern, the gym on the 40th floor (and the pool) are nice
The porter dropped my bag and smashed my laptop, the room had a faulty sink, safe, toilet seat. The aircon was old and incredibly noisy, upon arrival I was given a twin room - why? When asked why I don't have a double bed (im 6ft 2) they offered to 'push the beds together' grr! At the end, they added a 10% tip/service charge - for god knows what, thats a dirty tactic and I refused to pay it. Not impressed at all
